Floral Fling
The annual Floral Fling luncheon is Marin Charitable’s Spring fundraiser.
For the last 15 years, the luncheon has been held at such locations as the the Marin Art and Garden Center in Ross, the Marin Country Club in Novato, and the Meadow Club in Fairfax.
The highlight of each luncheon is a demonstration by a floral expert. Our visiting speakers have included Kate Stanley, Ray Reddell, Sarah Hammond, Valerie Arelt, Marvel Sherrill, Jun Piñon, and Marsha Heckman.
Before and after lunch, guests visit a shopping boutique presented by local vendors.
During the lunch, we also hold a silent auction and a raffle.
The 2008 Floral Fling will be held Wednesday, 16 April at the Marin Art and Garden Center.

Phantom Fundraiser
Since its inception in 1996, the Phantom Fundraiser has raised over $125,000. The announcement, a clever donation request containing a return envelope, is mailed mid-October.
MCA supporters appreciate not being asked to attend another function during this busy time of year.
Wine Dinner
The Wine Dinner is held at a restaurant in Marin County in the Fall.
A local winery supplies its choice of wines to compliment the gourmet dinner.
It is a great occasion for members and supporters of the organization to spend an enjoyable evening together.
The 2007 Wine Dinner was held Wednesday, 26 September at Giorgio's in Greenbrae, and raised approximately $125.000 for local children's programs.
The 2008 Wine Dinner is scheduled for Wednesday, 24 September, and will be held at the Corinthian Yacht Club, Tiburon.
