Gifts to the Marin Charitable Endowment, whether directly with cash, stocks, or other donations, or through Legacy Giving with a bequest in your will, IRA, life insurance policy
or similar document, will ensure that your legacy transcends your lifetime.
 
The purpose of our Endowment is to provide an additional income stream to Grants for distribution each year in addition to funds raised by our events and appeal letters.  It was officially created in 2021 in honor of the 60th anniversary of Marin Charitable and its
60 years of providing financial assistance to at-risk Marin kids.  Interestingly, 2021 was
also the year that the pandemic provided strong headwinds for Marin Charitable fundraising and, thus, illustrated clearly the need for an endowment to smooth out our Grants during exactly such vagaries as pandemics, economic weakness, etc.
 
Our Endowment currently has a balance of $250,000 and is housed at the Marin Community Foundation.  The more funds we invest, the more positive change we can create with these distributions each year.
 
Those who have made direct gifts or have included our Endowment in their estate plans by May 31, 2022, will be designated Endowment Founders.  Many thanks to those of you who have already made Endowment gifts!  Later this year Founders will be acknowledged at an event; additionally, in publications or donor listings they will be so noted.
 
Gifts of any amount are welcome!  Our hope is that everyone will want to be part of the Endowment, regardless of gift size.
